We met in March 2005 at a friends apartment, and I was taken away by Susan's beauty. I knew I needed to get go konw her. After exchanging phone numbers, I called the next day and took Susan to the movies. We hit if off and have been dating ever since. I couldn't live without Susan in my life, so on October 29th, 2008 I proposed. Susan was out to dinner with her roomates. In the meantime, I carved "Will you marry me?" in a pumpkin. When Susan was done with dinner, she came over to my apartment where I had the pumpkin displayed. I walked her outside where she found the pumpkin and got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She was so shocked, all she could say was "nuh uh". I took that as a "yes". We then went back to her house where some friends were waiting with congratulations posters. We are excited for June 27th to be here, so we can start our lives together.
Susan was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. After high school, Susan followed in her brother's footsteps by leaving Roanoke Rapids to attend North Carolina State University in Raleigh NC. She later graduated with a degree in Business Management. Susan is employed by the North Carolina Sate Employees Credit Union. Susan enjoys attending NC State athletics and cheering on the Pack, baking, going to the beach, and shopping.
John grew up in Clayton and recently graduated from NC State in December 2008 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is working for Teracon Consulting Inc. in the Construction Materials and Engineering Testing Department. He enjoys playing softball for Amelia Church and is a movie buff. He is looking forward to football season and rooting on the Wolfpack as an Alumnus.
